This is the website for Funny Farm comedy clubs and booking agency . Our comedy clubs are considered to be the finest independant comedy clubs in North East Essex!

Funny Farm comedy clubs (established 2005) are promoted and run by Hazel Humphreys (until 2010 with the able assistance of resident MC and technical expert Tony Cowards). We are an independant non-profit making comedy club.

In 2008 we launched the North Essex New Comedian of the Year Competion,(as of 2011 Colchester New Comedian of the Year)  the only annual new act competition in East Anglia!

We've also helped run comedy stages at Wivenhoe May Fair, Mersea Milk Rally, Slackspace, The Minories and the Liberty Festival in London's Trafalgar Square! Click here to see some of our other recent events.
