This is the website for Funny Farm comedy clubs and booking agency .
Our comedy clubs are considered to be the finest independant comedy clubs in Essex! Currently the Funny Farm is running in WIvenhoe, although we have also coordinated Colchester Comedy Festival and other shows in the region.
Funny Farm comedy clubs (established 2005) are promoted and run by Hazel Humphreys (until 2010 with the able assistance of resident MC and technical expert Tony Cowards). We are an independant non-profit making comedy club.
In 2008 we launched the North Essex New Comedian of the Year Competion,(as of 2011 Colchester New Comedian of the Year) the only annual new act competition in East Anglia!
We’ve also helped run comedy stages at Wivenhoe May Fair, Mersea Milk Rally, Slackspace, The Minories and the Liberty Festival in London’s Trafalgar Square!

Contact & Booking Seats
If you need to book seats for a show or contact us with a query, complete and submit the form below. Booked seats are held until just before advertised start time on the night of the show, after which time unclaimed seats may be given to people without a booking.
If you have any difficulties with the booking form email your requirements (Night you are booking for, number of seats required, any concessions, any special requirements) to funnyfarmcomedy@gmail.com
Please note you can opt in to our email list to receive priority when it comes to booking by stating “Add to mailing list” in the comment box below.
Our venue is now fully accessible – including the loos. It’s a welcoming place and we look forward to seeing you there.
